How much does an ayahuasca retreat cost?
What an ayahuasca retreat costs, what should be included, what makes prices go up or down, and red flags in very cheap retreats. With our own prices in Jalisco.

Prices for ayahuasca retreats vary enormously, from a few hundred dollars for a single ceremony to many thousands for a luxury week. Here is how to read a price, what should be included, and what our retreats cost.
What drives the price
- Length. A weekend with one or two ceremonies costs less than a seven-day retreat with three.
- Group size. Smaller groups and more helpers per guest cost more to run.
- Screening and care. A real medical review, experienced facilitators and integration take time and people.
- Location. Remote jungle centers carry high transport costs. A place near a major airport saves you money and days of travel.
- Accommodation. Shared rooms cost less than private ones.
- Extras. Massages, additional medicines and private sessions are often charged separately.
What should be included
At a serious retreat, the price should cover:
- every ceremony on the program
- all meals, adapted to the ceremony diet
- your room
- the medical and psychological review before you are accepted
- integration during the retreat
- the activities on the schedule
Ask what is not included, too: airport transfers, optional medicines and treatments.

Not included: flights, airport pickup ($60 USD one way, $110 USD round trip), and optional extras such as Bufo and massages.
Booking: a 50% deposit holds your place. It is not refundable, but you can move it to a later date. The balance is charged in the two weeks before the retreat. See the rooms on the Finca page.
Red flags in a very cheap retreat
A low price is not a problem in itself. These are:
- no health or medication review before you pay
- one facilitator for a large group
- no clear answer about who is in the room during ceremony
- no integration
- vague about what is included, with surprise fees later

Is it worth it?
A week of ceremony is an investment of money, time and energy. It is worth it when the place takes your safety seriously and the people know what they are doing, and when you give yourself time to integrate afterward.
