Who we are

We don't think you are broken. We think most people need a safe room, good company and a few quiet days to hear themselves again.

MexiSol World is a small team of guides, musicians and staff based at Finca El Péndulo, in Tepatitlán, Jalisco. We hold ayahuasca and psilocybin retreats there through the year, and we travel with the medicine to retreats around the world. No belief system, no dogma. People of every background come, many of them skeptical.

The medicine

Every retreat is built around one main medicine. Each includes three ceremonies: two with that medicine and one with Satori.

The Osho Hut prepared for ceremony, cups and candles in a circle

01 / Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca

A brew of the ayahuasca vine and the chacruna leaf, used in ceremony across the Amazon for generations. Ours is prepared in Pucallpa.

Ceremonies happen at night in the Osho Hut, led by Humberto with live medicine songs. It asks a lot of the body. Purging is common, and so are long, quiet hours. Servers stay in the room the whole night.

  • 2 ayahuasca ceremonies and 1 Satori ceremony
  • 2 Kambo sessions, Hapé and cacao
  • Optional Bufo, at extra cost
  • Temazcal, fire circle and a sunrise hike
  • Six nights, all meals, group and one-on-one integration

From $1,850 USD per person · 7 days · all-inclusive

02 / Psilocybin

Psilocybin

Sacred mushrooms, with a long ceremonial history in Mexico, especially in Oaxaca. Ours are sourced in Mexico.

Easier on the body than ayahuasca, and often lighter in mood, though not always. Krista leads these retreats with music, meditation and movement. You decide your dose with her beforehand.

  • 2 psilocybin ceremonies and 1 Satori ceremony
  • Hapé, cacao and voice activation
  • Equine therapy and Osho meditations

Alongside the main medicine

Four more you may meet

Both retreats

Satori

A plant medicine taken as capsules: DMT from tepezcohuite bark (Mimosa tenuiflora) with Syrian rue, which lets it work when swallowed. It builds gradually, tends to feel lucid, and asks less of the body than ayahuasca. It is one of the three ceremonies in every retreat.

Ayahuasca retreat

Kambo

The secretion of an Amazonian tree frog, applied to small points on the skin. Short, intense and physical. Used to cleanse the body before ceremony.

Both retreats

Hapé

A fine snuff of tobacco and plant ash, blown gently into the nose. It quiets the mind and grounds you. Ours is made by the Kuntanawa people of Brazil.

Optional, extra cost

Bufo

5-MeO-DMT from the Sonoran Desert toad, collected without harming the animals. A brief, very strong experience. An optional add-on at extra cost, and always your choice.

Every medicine besides the main one is optional. No experience needed. Not sure which retreat fits you? That is what the first call is for.

Good to know

Questions people ask

Do I need experience with plant medicine?

No. Many of our guests have never sat in ceremony. The master plant dieta abroad is the exception, and is meant for people who have.

Ayahuasca or psilocybin?

Ayahuasca is more physical and usually longer. Psilocybin is gentler on the body. Both can be hard emotionally. Tell us what brings you and we will help you choose.

Do I have to take every medicine?

No. Everything besides the main medicine is optional, and you can sit out any ceremony.

How big are the groups?

Up to 15 guests, with several servers in every ceremony.

Is it safe to travel to the Finca?

It sits in a quiet ranching town an hour from Guadalajara by toll road, on private land with security and staff on site.

Can I come with a friend or partner?

Yes. Prices are per person, and when you share a room each of you gets 10% off.

What is Satori?

A plant medicine taken as capsules: DMT from tepezcohuite bark (Mimosa tenuiflora) with Syrian rue, a natural MAO inhibitor. It works much like ayahuasca but builds more gradually and is gentler on the body. Because it contains an MAO inhibitor, the same medication review applies.
